DESCRIPTION:
French, 8-day time & gong strike brass & glass crystal regulator, in an unusual Art Nouveau style case, C. 1900
CONDITION:
Clean brass case that most likely gilded originally is worn from polishing to expose the copper plating underneath in a few places. Original gilt & painted dial has some wear to the numbers and the chapter ring. Hands are original. Front beveled glass panel has a couple of small corner chips. The other glass panels are fine. Note unusual cast floral motif pendulum is original and goes with floral top and feet. Movement is clean and running. Ht. 13.5".
